In Georgia, our Organics Council sponsors a Farm to School initiative. They create activities and lessons to accompany the annual initiative. Every fall there is a different theme to get kids excited about vegetables. There is a Farm to School Summit too to encourage schools and farmers to get involved.
This fall's theme is "Living La Vida Okra". (apologies for the corn ear worm)
The upshot -- if you aren't a school you can still download their resources and lessons for use!
