    Colleagues,
    KidsGardening is beyond excited to announce that we have been awarded a USDA Farm to School Implementation Grant to support a peer learning community of edible school garden educators using our newly launched Kids Garden Community!
     
    We'd love for you to join us in this effort to unite the youth garden and farm-to-school movements and we have two invitations for you:
    1. Please take 10 minutes to complete a survey designed to gather your ideas and feedback for expanding existing tools and creating new resources specifically for edible school garden leaders. (We have a raffle and discount codes for those who participate.) This is part of a needs assessment we are doing in order to understand ways to inspiration, support, and networking opportunities for edible garden educators and farm-to-school practitioners
    2. Please get in touch and let us know your interest in being part of an online community of edible youth garden educators. We are looking to collaborate with as many national and local organizations as possible to bring together edible youth garden champions across the country to share, learn, and grow together and accelerate the youth gardening and farm to school movement. Last week we had the honor of participating in a roundtable of Vermont-based Farm to School champions with Senator Patrick Leahy (VT) and US Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack at Shelburne Farms. At this event, we underscored the importance of uniting the school garden and farm-to-school movements to ensure all kids have access to garden-based learning.
