    Hi All!

We are getting our raised bed ready to plant some garlic with the ECE 4 kids here in Colorado but I am having trouble finding resources and books. I am looking for introduction to garlic, maybe the parts, how it grows etc... I was looking for spanish resources and thought maybe it was because of that..but can't find anything in english either. If you have developed something or know where to find good resource I will appreciate it!

    Thank you!!

    Laura

    Hi Laura,

The best resource I know for growing garlic is "Growing Great Garlic" by Ron L. Engeland. It includes diagrams detailing the parts of the plant, information and diagrams on the different varieties, the history and growing information including pest and disease control. My wife and I run an organic school garden program. We've been growing, saving and replanting the same garlic for the past several years. There are so many different fun varieties, it is one of my favorite crops to grow in the school garden.

    Hope this helps!

    Rob
