Making signs. Signs that say, "Welcome to our garden" made by the children, even if the letters aren't clear. Smaller signs labeling the plants . We use cardboard and sticks, they don't last forever but then you get to make more. Signs that a teacher prints off the internet, laminates and adds to the garden.
Lots of garden books in a book basket outside. Laminate seed packets and allow children to carry them around or make a display with them.
