AmeriCorps Farm-to-School Coordinator Green Mountain Farm-to-School, Newport, VT
AmeriCorps Farm-to-School Coordinator position available for a year term of service. A great opportunity to work outside in the garden, in the classroom and community with elementary age students. AmeriCorps members work with Green Mountain Farm-to-School and school staff to develop, implement and evaluate Farm to School program activities such as taste tests, farm field trips, school gardens, nutrition education and more. This position is part of the Lyndon Economic opportunity AmeriCorps Program (LEAP) and Green Mountain Farm-to-School. This position is based out of Newport, VT serving the schools in the NEK. Compensation includes a biweekly stipend totaling approximately $16,000 for the year term of service, subsidized housing, full health coverage and a $6,345 Education Award for past or future education upon successful completion. Reliable transportation needed for positions, with mileage reimbursement for business related travel. Position starts August 15, 2022 and runs until August 5, 2023.
