The slow motion insect
videos on the Ant Lab YouTube site are amazing! I used the mealworm video with my kindergarteners. They're not written specifically for children; however, they are very accessible and extremely well done. They're packed full of facts and comments that you could extract and use as a springboard to build a complete lesson. I think they're very inspiring!
I use the
SciShow Kids YouTube site frequently, as well. There are a few insect and garden/plant related videos on this site that are a nice switch from BrainPop, and that are shorter that a Bill Nye video.
I always run any link I show through
ViewPure before I show it.

Subject: Garden bug images for kids
Hi there. As our garden grows, so does our students' interest in garden bugs. Any suggestions for a good online site where children can see images of garden bugs (beneficial and pests) and learn about them?
Thanks in advance!
