  • 1.  Question about Application Process for AmeriCorps-based Farm to School Programming

    Hello! I am overseeing a new AmeriCorps Farm to School program working with local public schools and I am wondering how other SGSOs choose which schools they partner with. Do schools have to fill out an application? If so, what is your criteria?

    Hi Erica
    I know FoodCorps (https://foodcorps.org/about/site-eligibility/) has some criteria they work with and I would suggest some having worked with AmeriCorps*VISTAs in a school setting for years.  Happy to jump on a call if you'd like or direct you to some ideas.

    We partnered with AmeriCorps for about 10 years but then their sponsor in our area decided to dissolve.  They were great to work with!
