Hello! We are going to be building a new, ADA accessible garden at an elementary school soon, and this will be our first school garden with raised table beds for wheelchairs to go under. I'm curious if others have had success with pre-built kits, or any specific designs for beds. If anyone has general advice for ADA school gardens, also, let me know :)

    Hi Amity,

We are doing the same thing here at Wabasso School in Sebastian FL. I would love to collaborate with you.

    Thanks,

Hey Amity! We worked with a group at Washington University that created this ADA garden bed for a school in our network. Attached is their construction guide and a picture of the bed. I'm not sure how it's worked out for the kids yet; I think it was only recently filled with soil! Also attached is a document we put together with a bunch of resources at the end. Take care!
