Hi Shirley!
If you could get a bed that is 3' X 6' long then each student could have their own square foot garden.
(well actually they would be 1.5 ' X 1.5' - so a little bit of extra space in between). Kids really like having the opportunity to plan and cultivate their own little spot.
How active they will be in the space will depend a lot on what you have planted and how much care the plants need (are you hoping they will harvest, weed, water?) and how often you visit. If you want to have a lot to do on a regular basis, you may want to determine the length based on space available and resources for building the beds.

Subject: Dimensions for garden bed to accommodate 8 students
We are building garden beds for kids , 3 feet wide. How long do I need to make each side if I want to have 8 students actively gardening at the same time?
All advice is appreciated. Thanks
