Our school in Alaska is selling a geodesic dome greenhouse kit (unopened) from Growing Spaces at a greatly reduced price! This kit will build an 18-foot diameter greenhouse dome manufactured by Growing Spaces in Pagosa Springs, CO. Their domes are designed to be off-grid with solar-powered vents and fans and feature an internal pond for thermal heat exchange. This dome was purchased for a garden project at Bowman Elementary School. The kit in its original boxes has been in dry, secure storage at an Anchorage School District warehouse along with many additional "owner-supplied" items needed for installation.
Unfortunately, our major source of funding for construction has expired. The growing dome kit and everything that goes with it will be sold at auction and moved out of the school district warehouse.
The auction date has not been set yet.
A basic dome this size sells new from the manufacturer for $13,550, plus shipping. This kit has the Windy Weather upgrade, under-soil fan and "owner provided" materials including the aluminum needed for the pond inside the dome. We have access to all the videos needed for construction and our password for access would come with the kit. This is a bargain (especially if you can arrange for discounted shipping) and the price is negotiable!
The plans are stamped by a Colorado engineer. Checked the permitting requirements in your location. These domes are in use by a number of schools.
