    Hey Ya'll! ......from beautiful North Georgia and Wimberly's Roots Community Garden and Kitchen in Georgia.

    We are a non-profit serving Winder and Barrow County helping our community fight food insecurity and develop healthy eating through gardening and cooking educational classes and community produce outreach.    We are a special place operating 99% on the kindness of Volunteers and one part time staff member, me.   

    I am a germinating novice in garden instruction although I have served as Volunteer in the Kitchen Cooking classes for over a year.  

    Looking to connect with anyone in a community of Georgia and/or Non-Profits with missions similar to ourselves or just anyone with experience with Kid's Gardening.

    And... "just sayin.....  The kids in our Boys and Girls Club have so discovered a love of Gardening this month during Kids Gardening Month and we intend to put our pics in by month's end to win a prize for our Garden.    So please put your pics in too.   We thrive on friendly competition!

    Kids and fostering the love of gardening and all things kind and good for people and kindness and community positive growth.

    This is our FARM and yes, we have a barn, 3 fields and have increased our garden by 3X in 2024

    Hi Suzanne. I'd be happy to connect sometime. I teach ag in Clarke County and have ten years experience farming, teaching in gardens, and working with a hunger relief non-profit. I follow your org on Facebook and it always looks like you're up to incredible work.

    Barrow County/UGA Extension could be a resource for your project. Master Gardeners need volunteer hours to remain active.  There may be gardeners who'd love to work with you. Please give them a call:
