Hey all! Sharing these two grant opportunities from our friends at Green Our Planet who have awesome hydroponics and STEM curricula/programming for schools. The priority deadline to submit applications for fall programming is June 24th! Here's the info shared by Green Our Planet:

Attention, Educators! We're excited to announce that Green Our Planet is providing grants to schools to fund 80% of Green Our Planet's popular Hydroponics Program and 70% of our outdoor GardenConnect STEM Program. The priority deadline to submit your grant applications is June 24th, so if you want one or both of these programs at your schools beginning next fall, then be sure to take advantage of this limited-time opportunity!

I'm curious as to why this is considered a "grant" because there isn't any funding attached to it. The schools have to provide the $1,000. I like the opportunity and I want my school partner to participate but the announcement is a bit confusing if I read it as a traditional grant.  Can you provide any clarification?

Hi Latrina! That's a great point about the language. My understanding is that this is a more of an opportunity for significantly discounted programming but I'm looping in @Suzanna Bradley who works at Green Our Planet to provide clarification.​

Thank you for your feedback on the language we used for this offer. I can see why it isn't very clear, and I will take note of that for future outreach!

Amelia hit the nail on the head. The "grants" will get you Green Our Planet's garden programs at a significantly reduced price:

• The Hydroponics Grant will get you our Hydroponics STEM Program for $2000 instead of $10000.
• The GardenConnect Grant will get you our outdoor GardenConnect Program for $1000 instead of $3500.

The application for each is a short Google Form.
