I have exactly 6 packets of Carolina Joe Pye seeds to give to school gardens.

This species is native from Southern Maine to Illinois and from Florida to East Texas.   They prefer to be in a damp area and get VERY tall.

    Who would like them?

    Hello Michelle,

Our school (Nuestro Mundo Community School) is going to be moving to a new location in the next year.  The new school grounds has a section that we were envisioning as a potential rain garden site.  Would Carolina Joe Pye be suitable for that do you think?

We would be happy to have one packet if that is possible.  Let me know how to pay for the shipment.
    The school address is:

To Claudia Calderón (Nuestro Mundo Green Team)
902 Nichols Rd, Monona, WI 53716

I'd be happy to talk more in private chat as needed.

    Kindly,

    Claudia Irene Calderón

    HI Claudia,

Yes, it should do well in a rain garden. Joe Pye is very versatile.
It's also a great plant for kids to gather seeds from in the fall.
I will put a packet in the mail to you this week. Instructions will be on the back of the packet.

    Dear Michelle,

Thank you for the kind offer and the information.
We are very excited with the new school garden and excited that we will still be collaborating with the folks who have being stewarding those grounds until now.  I can't wait to share with them the news about these seeds you are kindly sharing with us.

I will let you know when we receive the packet and keep you posted.

    Sincerely,

    Dear Ms. Zupan,

I work for an organization that is not a school but a non-profit that works with youth  with gardening and other activities g, the year.  It is our hope this year we will be able to offer a stipend to some of our older youth to engage them in assisting the larger community with gardening needs such as seed starting, assisting our elderly  and disabled with growing produce.  If possible we would love to have a pack of the Carolina Joe Pye seeds if we would qualify and if they are still available.  Thank you in advance for considering our request.

We would love some Carolina Joe Pye seeds. This will help our garden to attract pollinators and hopefully reduce flies. It looks easy to maintain and comes back every year. Thanks:

I don't have nay more Joe Pye, but I could send you some Rose Mallow. They would be better to learn with anyway because they are larger and have a better germination rate.
