I usually teach seasonality by using Seed Packets -- they are full of info and using them as 'texts' helps build confidence in planting, and reading these packets empowers them to figure gardening out. I use them several times a year - in Jan/Feb for students to plan what to plant and build a planting/sowing schedule; in the spring when we begin to start warm-season plants indoors, later in the spring when we direct sow, and again in summer for fall planting.
Your extension office might have a handy visual - here's an example of a poster that shows the seasons, and you could create one specifically for your area.
(sorry it's a for-sale item and i don't mean to promote any vendor) https://www.growingwholechildren.com/store-2/p/mp10vv68b48075j3o07fbfez8j6sw2

Subject: Seeking recommendations: Children's books w/ food seasonality focus
Hello friends!
I am seeking recommendations for children's books (for 1st-4th graders) that have a focus on food seasonality. We're having difficulty cultivating student understanding that every kind of produce does not grow all year long. Do you know of any books that would help support us in this?
Context: We teach culinary and nutrition education classes in schools and community centers. For six weeks, students prepare healthy snacks and learn basic culinary skills. Then, they visit our learning garden where they harvest ingredients and prepare a dish together. We would use the book in the classroom portion of the program, prior to their garden visit.
Many thanks,
Julie
