A favorite science lesson of mine is to pose the question, “Is the garden a habitat for plants and animals?”  In this lesson, kindergarteners use investigative skills to state their claim and collect evidence from the garden to prove if their claim is correct.  My scholars love being investigators and take their job seriously.  By the end of the lesson, they can prove that indeed this garden is a habitat!  Read the attachment for more information!

That sounds like such a fun and engaging lesson! I love how you're encouraging the kids to use their investigative skills and gather evidence themselves-it really helps them connect with the topic and think critically. It must be so exciting for them to play the role of investigators and prove their findings! I'd love to check out the attachment for more details and ideas.
