Community Chat: Fundraising for Youth Gardening

When:  Dec 8, 2021 from 03:00:00 PM to 04:00:00 PM (ET)

We're continuing Community Chats! What is a Community Chat?

  • A dedicated space and time for informal peer-to-peer networking to talk through challenges (big or small!), share ideas, or connect with other members

  • Each Chat will focus on a broad theme with educators and practitioners available to answer your questions

  • Think of these as “office hours” - join for the entire session to listen and learn or hop on at your convenience anytime during the hour to ask a question

Next Up: Fundraising for Youth Gardening
Date: Wednesday, December 8th 3:00-4:00PM EST

Finding the financial and material resources to plant and maintain a youth garden is one of the biggest obstacles educators and volunteers face. Join our second "Community Chat" to ask your questions and share ideas about fundraising for your gardening program, including finding and applying for grants, fundraiser ideas, crowdfunding, donations of supplies, and more. From those new to gardening to seasoned educators, everyone is welcome!

Optional: For this Chat, come prepared to share a fundraiser (or other fundraising idea) that worked well for you, didn't work as well as you hoped, or just one that you've heard of that could be useful to others.
