Our school, located in Western Queens, runs a summer program for 3rd-5th graders. It is permaculture focused and children spend time daily in our rooftop garden, as well as learning about permaculture, including garden design and sustainable gardening/agriculture. They also have activities like culinary arts and DIY projects. We are also trying to plan some field trips this year, which we were unable to do last year. You would receive a curriculum and lesson plans, as well as 10 hours of paid PD prior to program. The program developer is also onsite to assist where needed.
Program runs from July 5th - August 4th Monday-Thursday (except first week due to holiday is Tues-Friday) Hours are 8:30AM-4:00PM. This will bae our 7th year running this program, which has been very successful and popular. Please contact me if you are interested, would like more information or have any questions.
