Hi everyone!
I'm the Farm Director at Eliada Home in Asheville, NC. We are a non-profit organization that serves children ages 0-25 through several different programs including daycare, pre-k, summer camp, afterschool, foster care & adoptions, mental health treatment, intensive in-home services, equine therapy outpatient, and homeless services. Our farm on-site grows fresh produce for our kitchen and cafeteria serving over 300 kids a day, 365 days a year. My three main jobs focus around food production, agricultural education to 11-17 year olds in mental health treatment, and agritourism (farm tours, plant sales, farm-to-fork dinner, fall festival and corn maze).
Here is a bit about us:Campus Farm Program - Eliada Homes
I'd love to connect with others doing school gardening with middle and high schoolers or operating a non-profit farm!
Happy gardening,
Erica

Subject: Getting to know you and your programs
Hi all! We've had some new members join this group recently and I know that some of you are joining from the Kids Garden Community and some are coming over from the Farm-Based Education Network so I thought it might be nice to start a thread to get to know each other and see who we might all want to connect with.
@Vera Simon-Nobes from the Farm-Based Education Network is facilitating this group and can give her own intro (some of you may already know her)!
I'd love if folks could respond to this post and let us know a little about yourself and your site/programming AND anything you're struggling with, topics you want to learn about, or just anything you'd like to get out of being a member of this group.
Who can get us started???
