    Welcome, Midwestern Gardeners! 🌱

We're excited to connect with a collective of garden educators throughout the mid-west! My name is Adriane, and I'm the Lead for our group; here to share resources, opportunities and build networks across the region.

I've worn a diversity of hats over the years. My favorite hat has been my straw hat as the Co-Founder and Program Director of the Ely Children's and Community Gardens in MN. I followed this with a move to northern WI and was one of the Regional Coordinators for WI School Garden Network. We built networks, supported garden educators, mapped gardens across the state and encouraged a proclamation of WI School Garden Day, which is held annually in May, now in its 8th year. I'm currently an Elementary School Librarian who often takes story time to the school gardens or for a hike on the nature trails.

I'm excited to connect, collaborate and learn from you! Say hello in the comments, share where you are gardening, and perhaps a skill or value gardening has taught you👋🌻

    Thank you! Sincerely, Adriane

I work at a public library in Indiana and I garden each summer with community kids our "Dirty Diggers" program.  I also maintain the library's Tower Garden all year round.  I don't feel very skilled :-D but I do love seeing kids get excited to try a vegetable they grew themselves!

Welcome Sarah! A fellow Library gardener too! I'd love to learn more about the "Dirty Diggers" Program?
