Youth Garden Grantmakers Community of Practice

The Youth Garden Grantmakers Community of Practice is a network of organizations that fund youth garden programs at the local, regional, and national levels.

Background

In June 2022, KidsGardening invited a handful of grantmakers to join a new Grantmakers Community Practice (CoP) to find ways to collaborate, streamline grantmaking, and share best practices in order for us all to learn from each other. Since then, more grantmakers have joined the group that are interested in learning and collaborating. You can see all current member organizations below.

Our collaborative work includes:

  • Grant Eligibility Quiz for youth gardens
  • Creating a Most Commonly Used Grant Question Guide for applicants
  • Conducting a national survey in 2022 and 2024
  • Presenting together at conferences and webinars
