Sustainability via Active Garden Education (SAGE)

SAGE is a free, garden based, outdoor learning curriculum that emphasizes physical activity and fruit and vegetable consumption using the plant life cycle as a metaphor for the human body and is designed for 3-5 year old’s at Early Care and Education Centers. SAGE is adaptable and meets NAEYC learning standards.
 
SAGE is organized by topic area into units for presentation, formatting and conceptual ease. And while you could implement the curriculum as presented, units 1-12, what truly makes SAGE unique is its flexibility and adaptability in how you can delivery and implementation it. You can take any activity, song, game, experiment, discussion, any of the material in the curriculum from any of the units and mix and match what, where, and when you present it or incorporate it into what you’re already teaching.
