Hello Robbie,
I know it sounds scary to have so many cicadas coming into your garden and I know from experience how noisy they are:)
Please don't worry about your veggies and flowers. The cicadas usually leave them alone. If you have young trees you might want to protect those with netting smaller than 1cm in size, so the cicadas can not go through. I hope that helps.
Happy gardening:)

Hi, I'd like to plant with my students but in May and June, two species of Cicadas are to emerge from the ground for like up to 6 weeks ish. Noisy and gross but no biting, however, what are they going to do to the plants we put into the ground. Or should we not bother, as I'd hate for the bugs to eat them.
Help please.
