Hi, Everyone!  I just learned about Neighborhood Forest's free tree program for kids this past Friday.  Immediately signed up and started getting the word out to our community - we already have 56 kids registered!

This is a great way to get native or fruit/nut bearing trees into the hands of kids.  Deadline for parents to register their kids to receive a tree is March 15 BUT this is a yearly event (so 2026 if you don't have time this year), they have lots of ready to go marketing on their website, and it's a pretty low-maintenance program to run.

We'll receive the trees at our library a day or two before Earth Day, separate them into individual bags (provided), and families will come in to claim their trees on April 22.  Great way to encourage at home growing and they love to work with libraries, schools and youth groups.

    Here's the website: https://www.neighborhoodforest.org/

I have been participating in Neighborhood Forest for 3 years.  Extremely well organized! Trees are incredible condition!  Highly recommend them!  I only send out the info to signup and Neighborhood forest takes care of all the paper work.  I print the final tally and hand them out.  Students help me bag them.
