    Thank you to everyone who joined us for yesterday's Community Chat and everyone who submitted questions! From reaching out to electric companies for mulch to limeade fundraisers, we talked about so many ways to support youth gardens. 

    The recording is attached and time stamps listed below. Here are some of the resources and ideas that were shared (watch the recording for more ideas and info!): 

    Grants/Funding

    Donation Sources for Materials and Supplies
    • Free seeds: Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds, GrowOrganic
    • Mulch: tree cutting services, electric companies
    • Other: local water districts to support installing efficient water systems or drought-tolerant plants, Buy Nothing and Nextdoor groups for donations of supplies from the community
    • Retail chains: Target, Walmart, JOANN (program supported by Kids in Need Foundation), grocery stores, Chik-fil-A
