Hello Gardeneers!

Does anyone have any Workplace Safety Program resources for a school garden setting? There are a lot of online resources for food safety, but not the  occupational hazards...My nightmares involve stepping on rakes hidden under vines that result in a cartoon-like sudden impact with my forehead.

Great question. We create a basic handbook including procedures and keep a list for each garden where we work that is specific to the space. A checklist with things like : tool care, animal care, watering/tending how to's, emergency info (especially including the  address - since some may not know that in emergency situations) , contact info of office, garden lead, etc. 

Since so many gardens have different challenges and situations, this has worked well for our team.
