I am starting a community garden at a Pre-K and Kindergarten school with 12 Kindergarten students and 14 Preschool students. For our first introduction meeting, I'll bring cat grass seeds, and we'll make fun planting cups with faces so the "grass hair" can grow. I'm also bringing the garden beds, even though we won't begin planting outside until the spring.
Do you have suggestions for what else I should do or say at our first meet-up with the children? I'd also like to send something home with the kids to inform parents about the new school garden. Since this is my first time leading a project like this, I'd love ideas on what would be best to share with families.
Thankyou in advance,
