We did this and it is a lot of fun but very messy if you do this with a lot of kids. We soaked paper overnight. Put it in a blender to make a paper smoothie. Discovered that the finer you make the pulp smoothie, the better paper you get without chunks. Get wooden deckles.Be sure to make sure paper and water mix is as fine as possible without chunks.

When you dry the paper, it may take up to 3 days. Make sure it is flat as possible . Seeds that work well for fast growth: radish, lettuce ,dianthus (nice and small). Zinnias are larger but grow faster. Be sure to use old scrap paper for sustainability bonus points .

Thank You Erin for your input.  I also wanted to make seed paper for an special event but got nervous about the timing and number of kiddos working on it at one time.

The same with steppingstones.  I may try both of these this summer.
