Last winter, our Culinary and Wellness department assembled microgreen kits and launched an application process for teachers to participate. These kits included everything needed for a successful microgreen-growing experience: trays, soil, seeds, labels, spray bottles, and even links to relevant lessons. The response was overwhelmingly positive! Teachers expressed how much fun they had, and students were thrilled to witness the rapid growth of these tiny greens in a shorter time frame.

Is this something that you would be able to share?
Certainly! Our Registered Dietician came up with this lovely idea and compiled this valuable information. I have included what we provide to the staff members who receive the microgreen kits.
Just want to acknowledge that this content has been adapted from a 4-H lesson plan, so credit is due to 4-H.
During the previous school year, we successfully distributed approximately 160 kits, and we're continuing this effort by sending out an additional 70 kits tomorrow. The ability to do so is made possible through grant funding.

Jaime,
Thank you so much for sharing! I really appreciate this material. I'm just starting out in the area of youth gardening.
