    Hi,
You could ask families to bring in one small bag or donate a couple of dollars?

    Craigslist Free sometimes has it.

Ask a nearby store to donate in exchange for a positive Yelp review?

Out here there is a free app called Chip Drop. You can fill the bottom of your raised bed with free chips so you need less soil.

    Good luck!

I recently saw a thread on here about the Coast of Maine donating soil.  I went to their website (https://coastofmaine.com/pages/growing-good-program), filled out the application, and got 5 2cf bags!

I don't know how much you need, but this is great soil!  They responded really quickly to me!

I have also been able to get soil from my town in the past.  Sometimes they have a pile for areas around town, and they are willing to give you some.   It's not always the greatest soil, but you could mix it with some bags of good stuff!

    Good luck!
