Hello!  We got a lumber donation 6x8x2 pine (20).  Originally we were going to use these to make raised beds but we went a different route.  Now I'm thinking to make a potting station but I'm not sure how large we need it to be and what features will be particularly helpful for elementary/middle classes. Wondering if anyone has experience with this to contribute guidance?  We often divide classes in half or thirds and then do 2-3 different activities and rotate so I guess a potting station for 7-10? Another idea would be some sort of outdoor food processing so an area to wash and prep fruit and veg.  Or maybe this could be one in the same multipurpose? THanks for any insights!  

Stations seem nice. Can you move them around? Add a palette topper to avoid cleaning up everything.  Meaning you can work in between the slots instead of on top. Create cubbies for milk crates. 

Hi Brenda,   Thanks for your reply.  I want to understand your suggestion. We can move the kids around, yes. Move the potting station around?  Possibly!  That's a great idea! I'm not familiar with a palette topper but I do like the idea of avoiding clean up!  I'm trying to imagine what workign in between the slots means.  Can you say more?  We have access to donated concrete mixing bins that we'll use in some spots, I think in the way that you are suggesting the milk crates.  TY!
