I'm looking for a solution for harvest baskets. We have quite a large garden and harvest baskets are such a challenge to keep on hand. We ask for donations from the community and source from thrift shops, etc but the size and quality vary widely. We donate produce from our garden to various locations in our area, so often good baskets end up being picked up with the harvest and returned in the future, or not at all.

Haven't found a good source for bulk orders and budget is certainly a challenge.

    Anybody have ideas?

Ask your local grocery stores whether you can have their empty cardboard produce boxes. Places such as Sam's Club put them at the exit for customers to use.

I have used ikea storage/laundry tubs in the past. However, the problem I am running into at my current district is that they want any harvest to go into "food grade" bins. Does anyone have ideas on this?
