I live in Knoxville, TN and have been a garden leader at a city school for 10 years. At this time, we have raised beds and a pollinator garden which we work in. We also partner with a community farm education team in their big garden at the school, too. We meet year round during the Boys and Girls Club after-school program. Most of the children in our club are in K-3rd grade. We are fortunate to have good support from several sources and a wonderful garden shed and outdoor classroom at our disposal. We teach gardening basics and also offer lots of tasting opportunities.  I have enjoyed many of the discussions of this group through the years and also the resources mentioned.

Wow, that sounds absolutely amazing! It's so inspiring to hear about the work you're doing in Knoxville-what a rich and engaging experience for those kids, especially with the hands-on gardening and tasting activities. Having a dedicated space like a garden shed and outdoor classroom must make such a difference too. It's wonderful that you've built such strong partnerships and support over the years.
